Law Firm YK, in collaboration with the Korea In-House Counsel Association, will hold a seminar titled "New Government Labor Policy and Serious Accidents" at the YK main office in Gangnam, Seoul, on July 21. This seminar is organized to share strategic response measures for corporate HR, labor, and legal professionals in light of the rapidly changing labor environment.

The Lee Jaemyung administration is signaling major changes across several areas, including the introduction of the Yellow Envelope Act (amendment to the Trade Union and Labor Relations Adjustment Act), improvements to the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, and the adoption of a 4.5-day workweek. Through this seminar, YK plans to comprehensively review corporate HR, labor, and compliance practices and present concrete response strategies.


In the first session, Park Dooyong, professor at Hansung University and former president of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, will deliver a presentation on "Corporate Challenges and Future Directions for System Improvement After the Enforcement of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act." The second session will feature Lee Jeongsik, former Minister of Employment and Labor, who will speak on "Strategies for Labor-Management Negotiations Following the Discussion of a 4.5-Day Workweek and the Passage of the Yellow Envelope Act." In the third session, Lee Sanghee, professor at Chung-Ang University and president of the Korean Labor Law Association, will present on "Criteria for Determining the Principal Employer's Responsibility and Corporate Responses."
