Development of Eco-Friendly Lightweight Future Vehicle Parts... Gyeongbuk Technopark Offers Up to 50 Million KRW Gyeongbuk Technopark.

The project, which aims to establish an ecosystem for transitioning the future vehicle parts industry to eco-friendly lightweight materials, will run until 2028. It will support the production of prototypes for future vehicle parts using eco-friendly lightweight materials, provide testing and certification, assist with overseas marketing, build a physical properties database, and help automotive parts companies expand into overseas markets.

For this project, applications are being accepted from July 1 to July 25 for companies seeking support for prototype production. Eligible applicants are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies that manufacture domestic future vehicle parts using recycled materials. Companies located in Gimcheon City and in the special wildfire disaster areas of North Gyeongsang Province (Uiseong, Andong, Yeongyang, Cheongsong) will receive preferential consideration. Selected companies will receive prototype production funding of up to 50 million KRW from Gyeongbuk Technopark.

In addition, various support programs will be offered to interested companies, including reliability assurance and technical consulting (advisory) on eco-friendly plastics and aluminum by joint research and development institutions, as well as support for overseas exhibitions.

Further details can be found on the Gyeongbuk Technopark website.

Ha Inseong, President of Gyeongbuk Technopark, stated, "We will actively support the transition of component manufacturers to the future vehicle parts industry using eco-friendly lightweight materials and enhance their technological capabilities. We will also strive to discover outstanding companies and contribute to revitalizing the local economy."
