The event included a tea meeting, the presentation of the appointment certificate, and a commemorative photo session.
About 10 local members of Song Gain's fan club 'Again' also attended, making the occasion especially memorable.
As promotional ambassador, Song Gain is expected to actively participate in the production of promotional materials, perform at the opening ceremony, and contribute to a wide range of expo promotional content.
Song Gain stated, "Agriculture is the foundation most closely connected to our lives," and added, "Through this expo, I hope to share the charm and potential of agriculture with the public in an enjoyable way."
Governor Kim Youngrok remarked, "It is very meaningful to be part of an expo that encompasses technology, industry, youth, and culture," and emphasized, "I hope the expo's message will be deeply conveyed to each and every citizen through promotional activities that combine emotion and broad appeal."
The 2025 International Agriculture Expo will be held for seven days from October 23 to 29 at the Jeonnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services in Sanpo-myeon, Naju.
Under the theme "Agriculture Changes the World: Agricultural Innovation with AI, Life-Growing K-Agriculture," the event will bring together domestic and international agricultural stakeholders and visitors to explore the present and future of Korean agriculture. So far, more than 380 institutions and companies from 25 countries have confirmed their participation, and approximately 400,000 visitors are expected.
Focusing on the core keywords of "emotion, future, and globalization," the expo aims to go beyond a simple exhibition to offer an interactive and immersive experience for visitors. The event will feature hands-on content such as AI smart agriculture technology demonstrations, autonomous agricultural machinery showcases, and a start-up pavilion for young farmers. Customized programs will also be available for multicultural families, international students, and visitors with companion animals.
