This project is part of the support activities for veterans' families that the Hanwha Systems Gumi Plant has carried out every year since 2017, divided into the first and second halves of the year. In the first half of this year, customized renovations were carried out for the aging homes of Vietnam War veterans, including replacing entrance doors and repairing bathrooms.

The Gumi General Social Welfare Center also participated in this project.

Ryu Mo (85), a national meritorious person and beneficiary, expressed gratitude, saying, “My house was old and there were many inconveniences, but now that it has become so comfortable, I can spend the rest of my life at ease.”

A representative from the Hanwha Systems Gumi Plant stated, “We will continue to participate in this meaningful project to honor the sacrifices of national meritorious persons,” and added, “We will strive to improve the quality of life for veterans’ families through ongoing support.”

Kim Jongsul, Director of the Daegu Regional Veterans Affairs Office, said, “I deeply appreciate the warm interest and support from local businesses,” and added, “We will do our utmost to realize ‘living veterans affairs in everyday life, veterans affairs for all’ by cooperating with various organizations in the region.”
