Korea Securities Depository and KOSDAQ Association Sign Business Agreement to Level Up KOSDAQ Companies

On the 14th, the Korea Securities Depository signed a "Business Agreement for KOSDAQ Company Level-up" with the KOSDAQ Association to support the sustainable growth and advancement of KOSDAQ-listed companies and, furthermore, to contribute to the development of the capital market.

The main areas of cooperation included in this agreement are as follows: supporting KOSDAQ companies in establishing transparent and efficient governance structures through the use of electronic securities, electronic voting, electronic general meetings, and electronic proxies; enhancing the stability of management activities and protecting investor rights through securities agency services; identifying and addressing challenges in the issuance and distribution markets; and supporting the discovery and nurturing of outstanding startups in connection with K-Camp.

Lee Sunho, President of Korea Securities Depository, stated, "By actively introducing electronic securities, electronic voting, and electronic general meetings, we will provide our utmost support so that KOSDAQ companies can proactively respond to the recent amendments to the Commercial Act, which strengthen responsible management and expand the protection of shareholder rights, thereby leveling up the transparency and reliability of the entire KOSDAQ market."

Lee Donghun, Chairman of the KOSDAQ Association, also said, "Through cooperation with the Korea Securities Depository, we plan to provide systematic and professional support to strengthen the competitiveness of KOSDAQ companies, which represent technology and innovative growth."
