IBK Industrial Bank Launches Sponsorship Event for National Merit Recipients to Mark 80th Anniversary of Liberation

'8ro Up Sponsorship Challenge'
Participants Receive 8% Annual Savings Rate Benefit

On July 14, IBK Industrial Bank announced the launch of the '8ro Up Sponsorship Challenge,' an event in which customers participate and the bank makes donations to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Liberation.

In this challenge, when customers participate, IBK Industrial Bank will make donations to organizations dedicated to serving the nation, such as national merit recipients, military personnel, police officers, and firefighters. As the number of participants increases, the donation amount will also rise, with the bank planning to donate up to 500 million won if participation reaches 80,000 people.

As a token of appreciation, participating customers will receive a coupon for a preferential interest rate (an additional 3.65 percentage points per annum) on the 'IBK D-day Savings' product. With this coupon, customers can benefit from an interest rate of up to 8.0% per annum.

To participate, customers can visit the event page within the i-ONE Bank (Personal) mobile banking app, select a sponsorship recipient, and click the 'Sponsor' button. The challenge runs until September 12, but will end early if the number of participants reaches 80,000 on a first-come, first-served basis.

An IBK Industrial Bank representative stated, "This challenge is a meaningful campaign that allows us to reflect on the significance of Liberation and support those who have dedicated themselves to the nation through customer participation," adding, "As a policy financial institution, we will continue to fulfill our social responsibilities and provide tangible financial benefits to our customers."
