On July 14, as the sweltering heat eased with rainfall, tourists at Gyeongbokgung Palace in Jongno, Seoul were seen moving to avoid the rain. The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted that some areas could experience heavy rain of 10 to 20 millimeters per hour, accompanied by gusty winds, thunder, and lightning.
