Farm Sites to Serve as On-Site Training Centers
Miryang City in South Gyeongsang Province announced on July 14 that it will be recruiting candidates for the "2025 Miryang City Agricultural Technology Master" until September 30. The program aims to realize a prosperous agricultural city where farmers are happy, and targets leading farmers who possess outstanding agricultural technology and meet certain qualifications.
Applicants must be farmers as of the application date, have engaged in farming for at least 20 years, and be able to prove at least 10 years of experience in their field of application. In addition, after being selected as a master, they must be able to guide general farms in advanced technology for at least one year and open and operate their own farm as an on-site training center.

Since 2021, the city has selected a total of six Agricultural Technology Masters. The selected individuals are: in 2021, Moon Kyungnam (fruit) and Shim Sanghwan (vegetables); in 2022, Choi Jonggwan (livestock) and Ahn Younggyu (fruit); in 2023, Kang Hwaun (grain); and in 2024, Lee Yongjae (fruit).
Selected Agricultural Technology Masters are awarded a nameplate, and their achievements are widely publicized, contributing to raising social awareness of professional farmers and boosting their morale.
