Ostem Global, a company specializing in dental medical devices, has constructed manufacturing and research facilities in Songdo International City, Incheon Free Economic Zone.
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced on the 14th that a completion ceremony was held on the 11th at the Ostem Global headquarters located within the Songdo Advanced Industry Cluster. Ostem Global, a subsidiary of Ostem Implant, is a company invested in by foreign dental precision device R&D firms, including those from Japan. The company built its headquarters on a 22,000-square-meter site at a cost of 300 billion won.
The site features a "Triple Tower" consisting of a seven-story manufacturing building for dental medical devices, an eight-story research building, and a sixteen-story office building. The facility houses manufacturing and research facilities for dental imaging equipment, several business divisions of the headquarters, and Ostem Global employees. The company expects to create a total of 1,450 jobs by 2030.
Ostem Implant is the number one company in the domestic implant sector and ranks third globally in sales. The company is pursuing its dental equipment business through 37 overseas subsidiaries currently in operation, with a sales target of 10 trillion won by 2036.
Kim Haeseong, CEO of Ostem Implant, stated, "We will accelerate the expansion of the global market and the enhancement of digital dentistry (the digitalization of the entire dental care and treatment process)," adding, "We will achieve greater progress and development as a hub for the development of digital dental platforms."
Yoon Wonseok, Commissioner of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, said, "Since its establishment in 1997, Ostem Implant has led the dental medical device sector in a short period and achieved remarkable growth, becoming the third-largest company globally. I hope the company will recreate its success story in Songdo, which is emerging as a hub for global companies building an innovative ecosystem."
