Menopause refers to the period around the cessation of menstruation, during which the secretion of the female hormone estrogen decreases, leading to physical and psychological changes. Typical physical symptoms include hot flashes, sweating, and joint pain, while psychological symptoms include insomnia, anxiety, and depression. Among these, sleep disorders are the most common symptoms experienced by women during menopause.

According to a 2024 survey conducted by Korea Research, 47.8% of women aged 40 to 64 who experienced menopausal symptoms suffered from insomnia, and among them, 64.9% reported severe discomfort that significantly reduced their quality of life. Menopause can cause discomfort in daily life due to symptoms such as sleep disorders, and if left untreated, it may lead to chronic diseases such as urinary incontinence, cystitis, and osteoporosis, making early management important.

Dongkook Pharmaceutical's menopausal treatment 'FeminQ' is a combination of Cimicifuga racemosa and St. John's Wort, improving both physical and psychological symptoms of menopause. In particular, St. John's Wort contains more than twice the amount of melatonin?a biohormone that regulates the sleep-wake cycle and induces natural sleep in the human body?compared to typical edible plants, making it even more effective for improving sleep disorders.

FeminQ is a non-hormonal, herbal over-the-counter medicine that has been proven effective and safe through clinical studies, and has ranked No. 1 in sales in the domestic over-the-counter menopausal treatment category for 15 consecutive years (based on IQVIA data).

A representative from Dongkook Pharmaceutical stated, "If menopausal symptoms are simply regarded as a natural part of aging and left untreated, they can lead to various chronic diseases later on. In particular, women in their 40s to 60s who struggle to fall asleep at night should not simply blame it on the heat, but recognize it as a possible early symptom of menopause and proactively manage it with proven medicines such as FeminQ."
