Donation for Wildfire Recovery Also Delivered

Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on July 14 that the Korea Forest Love Youth Group participated in the "Sancheong Rural Creatour Project" for two days from July 11 to 12.

This tour was part of the "Trekking Detox in Sancheong" program, which was conducted in cooperation with the private travel agency Seogyeong Tour N Car. Around 20 people, including staff members from the headquarters of the Forest Love Youth Group, planning committee members, and supervising teachers, took part in the event.

Participants directly experienced Sancheong's pristine nature and herbal culture resources through activities such as trekking along the Daewonsa Valley Trail, experiencing the Healing Forest at Donguibogam Village, and exploring Namsa Yedam Village.

In particular, at Daewonsa Valley and the Healing Forest, participants took time to personally feel the healing value of the forest and to reflect on the significance of hands-on forest education. On the same day, they also visited an area affected by a forest fire, where they shared awareness of the dangers of wildfires and the importance of forests.

In addition, to support forest recovery, they donated 3 million won to Sancheong County to aid in wildfire recovery efforts and assist victims.

Chairman Kim Myeongjeon stated, "It is the role of adults to help young people live in harmony with nature," and added, "I hope this Sancheong tour will become more than just a trip, but a venue for practical ecological education."

County Governor Lee Seunghwa said, "I would like to thank the Korea Forest Love Youth Group for experiencing Sancheong firsthand and supporting us. We will continue to promote Sancheong's nature and culture through the Sancheong Rural Creatour Project."

Meanwhile, the Sancheong Rural Creatour Project is a residential rural tourism program selected by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. Under the brand "Korea Healing Tour, Sancheong Herbal Love," it currently operates six experiential tourism products that link Sancheong's nature, traditions, and festivals. With early-bird discounts and other offers, visitors can enjoy these programs at up to 50% off regular prices.
