Active Utilization of Disaster Safety Communication Network
Enhancing Emergency Response Capabilities
Sacheon City in South Gyeongsang Province announced on July 14 that it had conducted the "2025 First Half Disaster Safety Communication Network (PS-LTE) In-House Training" for employees of the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters’ collaborative departments and related organizations at the Disaster Safety Situation Room.
The training focused on the basic concepts of the disaster safety communication network, which is operated to enable rapid sharing and dissemination of information in the event of a disaster, as well as the standard operating procedures (SOP) and methods for using the devices.
This training was conducted based on the Framework Act on Disaster and Safety Management and other relevant regulations. It was designed to enhance the ability of Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters personnel to respond to emergencies by actively utilizing the disaster safety communication network.
A city official stated, "Members of Sacheon City’s Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters actively respond to various disasters and accidents, including those caused by climate change," and added, "We hope that this training has provided an opportunity for practical personnel in collaborative departments to strengthen their response capabilities in the event of a disaster."
