Yongin City to Host Social Economy Market 'Alchadao' at Lotte Mall Suji on July 19

Eleven Local Enterprises Participate
Products from Social Economy Enterprises on Sale

Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will host the 'Lotte Mall Market Alchadao' on July 19 at Lotte Mall Suji Branch, where products from social economy enterprises will be introduced and sold.

This event, jointly organized by the city and Lotte Mall, has been prepared to promote the products and social value of social economy enterprises, based on a model of mutual cooperation between the local community and major retail companies.


Eleven social economy enterprises from the Yongin area will participate in the event, including Chammas Social Cooperative, Education Board Game Cooperative, Dangsinui Bueok Cooperative, Korea Aromatherapy Life Culture Cooperative, Gyoadang Co., Ltd., Supungro Sangdan Cooperative, 365 Culture and Arts Center Co., Ltd., Dihae Cooperative, Turtle Flies Social Cooperative, Hi Meal Co., Ltd., and the Korea Association of Disabled Agricultural and Livestock Technology.


The event will feature the sale of processed foods such as oil, gangjeong, persimmon glutinous rice cake, and salted seafood, as well as frozen and refrigerated foods, meal kits, daily necessities such as soap, aroma oil, diffusers, and joint protectors, and educational board games. Products from social economy enterprises in other regions, including Guri, Uijeongbu, Jeonju, Chuncheon, and Hanam, will also be introduced.


At the venue, there will be hands-on activities such as backdrop painting, MDF necklace making, and wood foam science kits, as well as performances including magic shows and puppet plays. Customers will also receive gifts based on their purchase amount.


Choi Yoojin, head of the Yongin Social Economy Support Center, said, "We organized this event to share the value of the social economy and to help meaningful consumption culture take root in daily life," and added, "We hope for the active interest and participation of all citizens."
