Kia announced on July 14 that it has launched the model-year update of its flagship midsize sport utility vehicle (SUV), the Sorento, under the name "The 2026 Sorento."
The 2026 Sorento features enhanced advanced driver assistance systems and upgraded interior and exterior designs, resulting in overall improved product value. All trims now come standard with Lane Keeping Assist 2 and steering wheel grip detection, offering a safer and more convenient driving experience. Additionally, popular features such as Kia Digital Key 2 and touch-type outside door handles are now standard starting from the popular Noblesse trim, further enhancing practicality.
A newly designed four-spoke steering wheel has been added, and ambient lighting has been extended to the first-row door map pockets, further elevating the interior’s sense of luxury. For the hybrid model, a stylish new 19-inch wheel option has been introduced, expanding the range of choices. The newly added 19-inch wheels are available starting from the Signature trim. For the 2WD model, customers can still benefit from eco-friendly vehicle tax incentives even when selecting the 19-inch wheels.
In addition, Kia has changed the name of the existing Gravity trim to "X-Line." The X-Line trim now features black emblems and wheel caps, maximizing the robust and distinctive design unique to the X-Line.
