President Lee Jaemyung's approval rating for state affairs has risen for five consecutive weeks. The ruling Democratic Party recorded its highest approval rating since June 2018, while the People Power Party fell to its lowest level ever.

According to a public opinion poll released by Realmeter on the 14th (commissioned by Energy Economy News and conducted from July 7 to 11 among 2,513 voters aged 18 or older nationwide, using a 100% wireless automated response method, with a margin of error of ±2.0 percentage points at a 95% confidence level, and a response rate of 6.0%), President Lee's approval rating rose by 2.5 percentage points from the previous week to reach 64.6%. The disapproval rating fell by 1.4 percentage points to 30.0%.

Realmeter stated, "The upward trend has continued for five weeks since the inauguration, approaching the mid-60% range," and added, "The strength of the approval rating appears to be solidifying further." Regarding the reasons for the strong approval, Realmeter analyzed, "The government's firm judicial response, including the re-arrest of former President Yoon Sukyeol, the expansion of special investigations into Kim Keonhee and the Marine Corps, as well as major personnel appointments such as the nomination of ministers and the selection of a US special envoy, have led to a positive increase in evaluations."

In terms of party support (commissioned by Energy Economy News and conducted from July 10 to 11 among 1,003 voters aged 18 or older nationwide, using a 100% wireless automated response method, with a margin of error of ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level, and a response rate of 5.5%), the Democratic Party's approval rating rose by 2.4 percentage points from the previous week to 56.2%. The Democratic Party's approval rating, which has risen for three consecutive weeks, is the highest since the second week of June 2018 (57.0%).

The People Power Party's approval rating fell by 4.5 percentage points from the previous week to 24.3%. The party's approval rating has declined for three consecutive weeks, and at 24.3%, it has broken its previous record low of 24.8% set in the third week of May 2020.
