Female Police Officer in Her 20s Walks Downtown in Broad Daylight Carrying a Weapon

A female police officer in her 20s was arrested in broad daylight as a flagrant offender after walking around downtown carrying a weapon.

On the 12th, Namwon Police Station in Jeonbuk announced that it had arrested and was investigating Officer A, a female police officer in her 20s from a police station in Jeonju, on charges of carrying a weapon in a public place.

Officer A is suspected of walking around with a weapon at around 2 p.m. on the 3rd at a restaurant and on a road in Namwon. It was found that Officer A committed the act while on medical leave.

The police responded to a report stating, "Someone is walking around the road carrying a knife," and arrested Officer A at the scene. However, it is reported that Officer A did not brandish the weapon at any passersby.

Officer A is known to be suffering from a mental illness and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital. The police handed Officer A over to her family to ensure she received treatment, and she is currently hospitalized. The police are investigating the circumstances under which Officer A walked around downtown carrying a weapon.
