Gotterup Claims Second Career Win, Earns Spot in The Open Next Week
McIlroy Finishes 2nd, Scheffler 8th, Siwoo Kim 34th

On July 13 (local time), at the Renaissance Club (par 70, 7,282 yards) in North Berwick, Scotland, the final round of the PGA Tour Genesis Scotland Open (total prize money $9 million) concluded. Kim carded three birdies and four bogeys in the fourth round, finishing with a total score of 6-under-par 274 to tie for 17th place.
Kim started the day tied for 7th and was hoping to break into the top 10. He made two birdies and one bogey on the front nine, reducing his score by one stroke and staying on track, but three bogeys (with one birdie) on the back nine pushed him out of the top 10. Since tying for 7th at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February, Kim has not recorded another top-10 finish.
Chris Gotterup (USA) shot a 4-under-par 66 to finish at the top with a total of 15-under-par 265. This marks his second career PGA Tour victory, following his win at the Myrtle Beach Classic in May last year. The winner's prize is $1,575,000 (approximately 2.17 billion KRW). By finishing among the top three in this tournament, he also secured a spot in next week's final major, The Open.
Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), who was tied for the lead the previous day, finished tied for second at 13-under-par 267, two strokes behind the winner. His most recent victory was at the Masters in April. He has three wins this season and 29 career victories. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (USA) finished tied for 8th at 9-under-par 271, Siwoo Kim tied for 34th at 4-under-par 276, and Byeonghun An placed 79th at 8-over-par 288. Sungjae Im missed the cut.
