At 12:22 p.m. on July 13, a fire broke out in an apartment building in Buk-gu, Busan.
The fire department issued a Level 1 emergency response at 12:42 p.m. and began firefighting and rescue operations.
Using ladder trucks and other equipment, firefighters have so far rescued four people from the rooftop and three from inside the apartment. Of the three people rescued from inside, two were in cardiac arrest and were transported to the hospital while receiving CPR.
By 1:10 p.m., firefighters had brought the main blaze under control and continued search and rescue operations for any remaining occupants.
