Daytime Highs to Reach 28 to 35 Degrees Celsius
On Sunday, the 13th, rain is expected to fall in most regions across the country. As a result, the heat will subside, and heat wave advisories are likely to be lifted gradually.
On the 13th, morning low temperatures are forecast to range between 19 and 25 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs are expected to reach between 28 and 35 degrees Celsius.
In the central region, the weather will be clear at first, but clouds will increase from the morning. In the southern region, skies will be partly cloudy, gradually turning overcast from early morning. Jeju Island will remain cloudy throughout the day.
Rain will begin in Jeonnam from early morning, in Jeonbuk and Gyeongnam from the morning, and in southern Gyeonggi, southern Gangwon, the Chungcheong region, and Gyeongbuk from the afternoon. In other regions, rain will start at night, resulting in rainfall across most areas nationwide.
In the Seoul metropolitan area, except for eastern and southern Gyeonggi, there may be light raindrops of less than 0.1 mm between late afternoon and night.
The expected rainfall for the two days starting from the 13th is as follows: 10 to 40 mm for Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, and inland Gangwon; 20 to 60 mm for eastern Gangwon, Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, Chungbuk, Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk (with more than 80 mm possible in eastern Gangwon, near Jirisan, and the eastern southern coast of Jeonnam); and 5 to 10 mm for the five West Sea islands.
Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk are forecast to receive 30 to 80 mm of rain (with more than 100 mm possible in Busan, Ulsan, the southern coast, northwestern inland Gyeongnam, and the east coast of Gyeongbuk). Jeju Island is expected to receive 30 to 80 mm of rain over the three days starting from the 12th (with more than 100 mm possible in mountainous areas, mid-mountain regions, and the eastern and southern parts).
Some areas will experience heavy rain accompanied by gusty winds, thunder, and lightning. In particular, there may be places where rainfall exceeds 30 mm per hour, so special caution is advised to prevent safety accidents.
Fine dust concentrations will remain at a 'good' level nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion and the effects of precipitation.
Wave heights at sea will range from 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East and South Seas, and from 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea.
In offshore waters (up to about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the West and South Seas.
