On Saturday, the 12th, most regions across the country will continue to experience sweltering heat, with daytime temperatures rising above 30 degrees Celsius. In Seoul, the midday temperature is expected to soar to 36 degrees Celsius.
The morning low is forecast to range from 19 to 25 degrees Celsius, while the daytime high will be between 27 and 36 degrees Celsius.
The weather will be mostly clear nationwide, although Gangwon Yeongdong and the southern regions will be partly cloudy at times. Jeju Island is expected to be mostly overcast.
Jeju Island will see rainfall of 10 to 60 mm (with some areas receiving more than 80 mm) through the 13th. In northwestern Jeollanam-do, 5 to 10 mm of showers are forecast between late afternoon and evening.
Fine dust concentrations will remain at a 'good' level nationwide, thanks to smooth atmospheric dispersion.
For the time being, strong winds accompanied by thunder and lightning are expected mainly in the far southern seas off Jeju Island, so caution is advised to prevent maritime accidents.
Waves in the East Sea, West Sea, and South Sea coastal waters will range from 0.5 to 2.0 meters. In the offshore areas (within about 200 kilometers from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea, and 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea.
