Ina Comprehensive Social Welfare Center announced on the 11th that it recently carried out the community-based welfare project "Hope Welfare Daitso."
"Hope Welfare Daitso," held on the 10th at the Bongseon 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Nam-gu, Gwangju, was organized and operated primarily by Ina Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, which oversees the area. The event allowed low-income households and residents from marginalized welfare groups in the community to visit in person and freely select the items they needed. Several organizations participated, including the Bongseon 1-dong Administrative Welfare Center, the Nam-gu Welfare Policy Division, and the Community Security Council.
"Hope Welfare Daitso" is an outreach sharing market operated in cooperation with three comprehensive social welfare centers in Nam-gu, including Ina Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, the Nam-gu Welfare Policy Division, local administrative welfare centers, and the Nam-gu Community Security Council. The project provides daily necessities and ready-to-eat meals to local residents, aiming to stabilize residents' lives and address gaps in the welfare system.
Lee Sunmi, Director of Ina Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, said, "We plan to continue 'Hope Welfare Daitso' and various other customized welfare projects to alleviate the real difficulties faced by local residents and to identify and support neighbors who are in welfare blind spots." She added, "We will do our best to strengthen a resident-centered welfare system."
