At around 3:25 p.m. on July 11, a taxi fell from the fourth floor of a parking tower in Ilgokdong, Bukgu, Gwangju, landing on the first floor. The vehicle broke through the exterior wall and fell to the ground below. The driver, a man in his 60s identified as Mr. A, sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.

The area where the taxi landed is a commercial district with many restaurants, but there were no people nearby at the time of the accident, so no additional injuries occurred. Police stated that Mr. A was neither under the influence of alcohol nor driving without a license, and he did not claim sudden unintended acceleration.

Police believe that the accident was caused by Mr. A's carelessness while driving the vehicle, and they are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
