Shinhan Bank Holds Global Conference Week

Shinhan Bank announced on the 11th that it will hold the 'Global Conference Week' at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, until the 17th.

Shinhan Bank Holds Global Conference Week On the 10th, at the 20th-floor auditorium of Shinhan Bank Headquarters located in Jung-gu, Seoul, Shinhan Bank President Sung Janghyuk delivered a welcoming speech during the 'Global Conference Week.' Provided by Shinhan Bank.

This is a consultative program designed to share strategies and implementation plans for the sustainable growth of Shinhan Bank's global business. The event is attended by members of overseas subsidiary boards of directors and executives, heads of overseas branches, resident officers in charge of operations, and employees of the Shinhan Bank Global Business Group.


This year's theme is 'Golden Time of Great Transformation, Beyond Legacy: Inflection Point 2025.' Participants will share business strategy directions and visions in the rapidly changing global financial environment.


On the first day of the event, the 'Global Board Conference' session was held on the 10th, where members of overseas subsidiary boards of directors and executives shared case studies and expertise on business strategy directions, global governance trends, and advanced governance practices for each subsidiary, and discussed ways to expand cooperation.


In addition, Shinhan Bank is operating a variety of programs. Heads of overseas branches will participate in video conferences to share a review of the global business performance for the first half of the year, as well as goals and key plans for the second half. The bank will also hold a Global Management Strategy Meeting and Matrix Council, where department heads responsible for key functions such as strategy, sales, finance, HR, and ICT, along with resident officers and related department representatives, will gather to discuss strategies and implementation plans for the global business.


A Shinhan Bank official stated, "We will continue to strengthen business models tailored to the characteristics of each country and region through our network of 166 locations in 20 countries, and will continue to expand our various global business areas."


Shinhan Bank currently operates overseas subsidiaries in 10 countries, including Vietnam, Japan, and China, and achieved a net profit of 200.2 billion KRW from its overseas subsidiaries in the first quarter of this year.
