Gijang County has taken proactive measures to protect the rights and interests of its residents and to prevent jeonse fraud.
On July 11, the county designated four local real estate agencies as "Model Brokerage Offices."
This designation was implemented in response to the recent social issue of the spread of jeonse fraud and to create a safer real estate transaction environment. It is part of the Busan Metropolitan City's "Model Brokerage Office Designation and Operation Project."
Gijang County reviewed real estate agencies using a comprehensive set of evaluation criteria, including brokerage performance, office environment, and operational status. As a result, four offices were ultimately selected as "Model Brokerage Offices."
The selected offices are: ▲ Jeonggwan Star Real Estate Agency (CEO Yoon Hyunjung) ▲ Soyou Real Estate Agency (CEO Kim Hyekyung) ▲ Wooshin Real Estate Agency (CEO Kim Sungeun) ▲ Changjo Real Estate Agency (CEO Kim Giro), for a total of four offices.
These offices will provide practical brokerage services such as prior consultations on jeonse and monthly rent contracts, guidance on important matters during contracts, and offering measures to protect deposits. They aim to help residents conduct real estate transactions more carefully and safely.
County Governor Jeong Jongbok stated, "The designation of Model Brokerage Offices is more than just a certification; it marks an important turning point in protecting residents' property rights and establishing a trust-based real estate culture," adding, "We will continue to pursue various policies to create a transparent and fair real estate environment."
Gijang County plans to regularly inspect the operation of the Model Brokerage Offices and to accelerate the development of follow-up policies to improve the quality of brokerage services.
