A man in his 30s has been arrested by police in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, after killing his parents and older brother with a weapon.
On July 11, the Gimpo Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced that they had apprehended and were investigating a man in his 30s, identified as A, on suspicion of murder.
A is accused of fatally stabbing three members of his family?his parents, who are in their 60s and 70s, and his brother in his 30s?at a single-family home in Gimpo City on the morning of the previous day.
At approximately 10:54 a.m. on the same day, police responded to a report from an acquaintance of the victims who said there were bloodstains inside the house, and they arrested A at the scene.
A police official stated, "The crime is believed to have occurred on the morning of the previous day," and added, "We have requested autopsies from the National Forensic Service for the victims and plan to apply for an arrest warrant for A."
