320 Participants for Public Works Project, 22 for Community Job Project
Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province is recruiting participants for the '2025 Second Half Public Works and Community Job Project' to support the livelihood stability of vulnerable job seekers and contribute to community development.
This public job initiative aims to provide public employment opportunities to vulnerable groups such as the unemployed and daily workers, thereby promoting both the livelihood stability of citizens and the creation of local jobs.
The public works project, which targets local economic recovery and supports low-income households, will select 320 people across 139 workplaces?an increase of 14 participants compared to the first half of the year. The community job project will select 22 people for 4 workplaces.
The public works project consists of four fields: youth, general labor, career counselors, and senior citizens. Specifically, 56 youth, 198 general laborers, 10 career counselors, and 56 seniors will be selected, totaling 320 participants. Work areas include environmental maintenance, national land park projects, and support for public administrative tasks. Based on the achievements of the first half, the effectiveness of the project will be evaluated, and new projects such as 'street tree cleaning and leaf collection' have been added to reflect citizen demand. This has enhanced the quality of public services and expanded social participation opportunities for seniors by assigning 56 people to the senior category.
The community job project will select a total of 22 participants for four workplaces, including support for multicultural families, eco-friendly ecological development of Daunsan, creation of garden-style parks, and support for river environment improvement in the Hoiya River.
Eligibility requirements are as follows: as of the announcement date (July 3, 2025), applicants must be registered residents of Yangsan City and, as of the project start date (August 25, 2025), must be citizens aged between 18 and 69 with the ability to work. Applications must be submitted in person at the administrative welfare center corresponding to the applicant's address by July 18.
An official from Yangsan City stated, "The public works and community job projects are more than just jobs?they are an essential safety net supporting citizens' lives. The city will do its utmost to ensure that more citizens can achieve economic stability and contribute to the community through these programs."
