According to Yangju City on July 11, these programs are proactive measures aimed at preventing infertility and preserving fertility for individuals whose reproductive capacity may be diminished due to disease treatment or age.

First, the "Support Program for Anticipated Permanent Infertility Egg and Sperm Cryopreservation" targets both men and women, regardless of marital status, who are at risk of losing fertility in the future due to treatments such as chemotherapy or reproductive organ removal. This newly introduced program is designed to help ensure the possibility of future pregnancy and childbirth through the use of frozen reproductive cells.

Eligible recipients include those who have undergone: adhesiolysis of uterine appendages, removal of appendage tumors, partial ovarian resection, orchiectomy, removal of malignant testicular tumors, epididymectomy, chemotherapy, or those with chromosomal abnormalities?cases where permanent infertility is medically anticipated.

The program covers 50% of the out-of-pocket costs for examinations, ovulation induction, reproductive cell retrieval, and freezing. Women can receive up to 2 million won, and men up to 300,000 won, each as a one-time lifetime benefit.

Applications must be submitted within six months from the date of reproductive cell retrieval, either by visiting the Yangju City Public Health Center in person or online through the e-Health Center.

In addition, the "Support Program for Egg Freezing Procedure Costs" is also being implemented.

This program provides support for women aged 20 to 49 who are planning future pregnancy and childbirth but are concerned about declining ovarian function. To qualify, applicants must meet both of the following criteria: a household income at or below 180% of the median income, and an AMH level of 1.5 ng/ml or lower. The program covers 50% of the out-of-pocket costs for necessary examinations and procedures for egg freezing, up to a maximum of 2 million won.

However, storage and hospitalization fees are not included. Applications must be submitted within six months from the date of the procedure, and the benefit is available only once in a lifetime. Overlapping support with other cryopreservation assistance programs is not permitted.

An official from the Yangju City Public Health Center stated, "This support program is designed to help individuals concerned about declining fertility prepare for future pregnancy," and added, "We will continue to provide proactive counseling and systematic guidance to ensure that these efforts offer real, practical assistance."
