Busan Veterans Office Holds "Visiting Mobile Counseling" for Discharged Veterans in Ulsan

"Positive Response to In-Depth Employment Support"

The Discharged Veterans Support Center of the Busan Regional Veterans Office (Director: Lee Namil) held its July "Visiting Mobile Counseling" session on July 10 in the conference room of the Ulsan Veterans Office, providing customized employment support for discharged veterans.

A total of seven discharged veterans participated in the counseling session through advance reservations, which was more than in previous years. The participating members shared actual success stories of employment and entrepreneurship, and engaged in in-depth counseling based on their individual backgrounds and desired career paths, seeking practical employment strategies.

The professional consultant in charge of the session provided practical solutions to the career anxiety and difficulties in transitioning to the private sector that discharged veterans often experience. The consultant also offered one-on-one guidance on job trends and available recruitment information, which was well received.

The Busan Discharged Veterans Support Center oversees Busan, Ulsan, Yangsan, and Jeju, and has been conducting mobile counseling sessions from February to November this year to improve counseling accessibility for discharged veterans living in remote areas. The next session is scheduled to be held at Yangsan City Hall in August, marking the second session there following the one in April.

A representative from the center stated, "We are focusing on providing community-based services so that more discharged veterans can receive practical assistance through mobile counseling," and added, "We will actively support discharged veterans in adapting to civilian life through ongoing counseling and education."

The Discharged Veterans Support Center operates a variety of career transition support programs for discharged veterans who have served medium to long-term, including employment and entrepreneurship workshops, vocational training subsidies, and career transition allowances.
