The purpose of this designation is to strengthen early diagnosis and treatment linkage for dementia, enabling patients to receive faster and more specialized medical support.

With this designation, the two institutions will mutually cooperate to: provide medical support for patients referred for early dementia diagnosis; offer diagnoses and opinions from neurology specialists; conduct detailed examinations and treatment linkages for high-risk groups and dementia patients; and share relevant information.

The financial burden of examination costs for patients will also be reduced. Individuals referred to the agreement hospital through the Hwaseong City Dementia Safety Center will receive support of up to 150,000 KRW for diagnostic tests and up to 80,000 KRW for differential tests. For inquiries regarding early screening and examination cost support, residents can contact the Dementia Safety Centers at Hwaseong City Seobu, Dongtan, or Dongbu Public Health Centers.

Moonja, Director of Hwaseong Dongtan Public Health Center, stated, "With the designation of this agreement hospital, more citizens will be able to receive early dementia diagnoses and appropriate support," and added, "We plan to continue expanding the number of agreement hospitals to further strengthen the community-based integrated dementia management system."
