According to Seo-gu on July 11, this manual was created for public officials responsible for demolition permits and supervisors in charge of on-site safety.
The manual includes instructions on how to fill out application forms, methods for on-site inspections of demolition projects, the roles and procedures for supervisors of building demolition projects, major accident case studies related to demolition, and key points of building management ordinances. It is expected to significantly contribute to improving the expertise of those in charge and ensuring on-site safety.
Kim Ikang, head of Seo-gu District Office, stated, "We expect this manual to be of practical help in spreading safety awareness among demolition workers and in professionalizing public services," and added, "We hope that field workers and related organizations will familiarize themselves with the manual and work to create a zero-accident working environment."
Meanwhile, Seo-gu is taking the lead in disaster prevention with the vision of becoming the "No. 1 Safety Zone" by operating a local building safety center, conducting regular inspections of demolition sites, and running an expert-based safety advisory group to create a city where citizens can feel safe in their daily lives.
