Busan Urban Corporation (BMC), led by President Shin Changho, is set to actively promote a regional win-win public procurement initiative.
The "2025 Regional Win-Win Public Procurement Consultation Fair," the first of its kind to be independently hosted by a local public enterprise in Busan, will take place on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the Grand Ballroom on the second floor of Arpina in Haeundae, Busan.
The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will feature one-on-one procurement consultations and a product exhibition. Fourteen local public institutions, including Busan Urban Corporation, and 54 local companies eligible for priority purchasing?such as technology development product manufacturers, social enterprises, and producers of goods made by people with severe disabilities?will participate.
Busan Urban Corporation expects this event to serve as an effective B2G (business-to-government) connection platform that goes beyond a one-time meeting, aiming both to expand market opportunities for local small and medium-sized enterprises and to diversify the purchasing channels of public institutions.
Many of the participating companies are recognized for their technological capabilities and social value, presenting meaningful opportunities for public institutions that are simultaneously pursuing ESG management and regional win-win strategies.
Shin Changho, President of Busan Urban Corporation, stated, "We hope this consultation fair will serve as a stepping stone for promising local companies to enter the public market, and we will do our best to ensure it becomes an opportunity to invigorate the regional economy."
