Education on Storytelling Techniques to Strengthen Competitiveness
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on July 11 that they held a two-day workshop starting from July 9 to strengthen the competitiveness of domestic animation production companies. The event was practical in nature, consisting of invited lectures and tailored one-on-one follow-up sessions. Nineteen domestic production companies participated, systematically learning about content planning, story composition, and scenario development.
The lecture was delivered by Carlin Tan, Head of Animation and Kids Content for Warner Bros. Discovery Asia Pacific. She shared insights on the production environment and latest trends in the global animation market, and introduced storytelling techniques to enhance content competitiveness.
This event was part of the 'Animation Bootcamp' operated by the Korea Creative Content Agency. The bootcamp is an intensive training program aimed at strengthening the practical capabilities of emerging creators and production companies. Going forward, the education will continue to focus on customized mentoring that reflects production conditions and the specific nature of each project.
Lee Hyunju, Head of the Content IP Promotion Division at the Korea Creative Content Agency, stated, "This is a long-term project from the perspective of enabling creators to simultaneously upgrade their capabilities and advance into the global market," adding, "It will serve as a core foundation for establishing a sustainable K-animation industry ecosystem."
