Investment Agreement Signed with Daegu City
On July 10, the city of Daegu signed an investment agreement with Snoocon Co., Ltd. (CEO Youngwoo Park), a global leader in dental implants, for the construction of two new dental implant factories at the Sangyeok government complex of Daegu City Hall.
Founded in Daegu in 2000, Snoocon exports implants to more than 20 countries worldwide, including China. The company won the '10 Million Dollar Export Tower' award in 2023, followed by the '20 Million Dollar Export Tower' the following year, demonstrating greater recognition overseas than in Korea.

Snoocon possesses traditional SLA implant surface treatment technology with a structure similar to human bone. Based on this technology, the company shortens the osseointegration period, thereby enhancing both the safety and efficiency of implant procedures.
In 2023, Snoocon adopted the Ministry of Employment and Labor's Workplace Innovation Program, increasing production by 75% and reducing the defect rate by half. Through quality improvement and on-time delivery, the company has earned customer trust and continued to expand its order volume.
The investment in these two new factories is intended to respond to rapidly growing overseas demand in regions such as China, Iran, and the UAE following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Currently, Snoocon is investing 15 billion KRW in a 1,770-square-meter (approximately 536 pyeong) site within the Seongseo 1st Industrial Complex, with the completion of its 'Second Implant Factory' scheduled for the end of July this year. The company also plans to invest an additional 22 billion KRW to construct a third factory on an adjacent 5,259-square-meter (1,594 pyeong) site. The third factory is scheduled to begin construction in January 2026 and be completed by January 2027.
Meanwhile, since the launch of the 8th popularly elected administration in 2022, Daegu City has signed a total of five investment agreements with four local implant companies, providing ongoing financial and policy support for the construction and expansion of manufacturing plants.
The total corporate investment amounts to 121.8 billion KRW, creating 242 new jobs. These efforts have made significant contributions to establishing Daegu as a central city in the K-Implant industry.
To foster the dental industry, Daegu City has promoted initiatives such as the 'Hyperconnected Dental Platform Development Support Project,' the 'Inno-Dental Regulatory Free Zone Project,' and the 'Dental Medical Device Marketing Support Project.'
In particular, in April, the city was selected for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's 'Development Base for Dental Implantable Digital Medical Devices' project, further solidifying its position as a hub for advanced dental industries.
Youngwoo Park, CEO of Snoocon, stated, "Snoocon initially manufactured dental alloys for domestic dental hospitals and clinics. After acquiring implant surface treatment technology from Germany's Konus in 2005, we began full-scale implant production in 2008. Building our second and third factories in our 25th year is a meaningful milestone, and we will continue to grow as a 'great place to work' that contributes to export growth and quality job creation in Daegu, the center of the K-Implant industry."
