On July 9 (local time), at the South Course of Woodmont Country Club (par 72) in Rockville, Maryland, USA, Lee carded eight birdies and two bogeys for a 6-under-par 66 in the final round of the 4th US Adaptive Open. With a total score of 12-under-par 204, Lee tied for second place, following Kip Popert (England, 24-under-par 192).

The US Adaptive Open, organized by the United States Golf Association (USGA), is a tournament where golfers with various disabilities compete. Since becoming the inaugural champion in 2022, Lee has finished as runner-up for three consecutive years starting in 2023.

Seungmin Lee, who has autism spectrum disorder, achieved his dream of becoming a professional golfer after persistent efforts, earning full membership on the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Tour in 2017. Like the drama protagonist Woo Youngwoo, who overcame autism to become an outstanding lawyer, Lee has been recognized as an inspiring example of human triumph.

Lee has excelled in disability golf tournaments, winning the 2022 US Adaptive Open and last year's Australian All Abilities Championship. On the KPGA Tour, he achieved his personal best finish by tying for 22nd place at the Woori Financial Championship in April this year. In the women's division, Kim Moore (USA, 16-over-par 232) claimed the title, while Korea's Kim Sunyoung finished seventh (31-over-par 247).
