On July 10, the city of Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, announced that the Siheung Volunteer Center, which serves as a hub for 140,000 volunteers, has been relocated from Daeya-dong to Saejae-ro 13, Saeoreum Building, near the city hall.

The city expects that the relocation of the center will not only resolve geographical imbalances and improve parking conditions, but also expand the foundation for a citizen-centered volunteer ecosystem by providing shared spaces for volunteers.
The new center covers an area of 414 square meters and is equipped with an education room, program room, office space, rest area, and multipurpose room.
Park Myeongil, Director of the Siheung Volunteer Center, said, "The relocation of the center has improved the visiting environment, which will provide practical support for revitalizing volunteer activities."
Im Byungtaek, Mayor of Siheung, stated, "We will continue to create an environment where anyone can easily participate, thereby promoting volunteerism in partnership with the local community."
