Korea Securities Finance Dream Sharing Foundation Supports 'Hope Dream Smart Library' at Hankkum School

Korea Securities Finance Dream Sharing Foundation announced on July 10 that Chairman Jungkak Kim attended the opening ceremony of the new school building of Hankkum School, held on July 9 in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province.

The opening ceremony was attended by Donggeun Kim, Mayor of Uijeongbu, and Jaekang Lee, National Assembly member for Uijeongbu-eul, Gyeonggi Province, who celebrated the relocation of Hankkum School's teachers to the new building.


Korea Securities Finance Dream Sharing Foundation supported the installation of the 'Hope Dream Smart Library' in the newly relocated Hankkum School building. The foundation also sponsored the provision of ICT equipment, media systems, and the creation of a book cafe.


The 'Hope Dream Smart Library' aims to help students grow into healthy individuals by providing a safe and pleasant environment for diverse educational opportunities. Starting with Hankkum School, this is an educational environment improvement project by Korea Securities Finance Dream Sharing Foundation that installs and supports such facilities at alternative education institutions for North Korean defectors.


Chairman Jungkak Kim stated, "I sincerely congratulate Hankkum School on its new beginning in the new building," and added, "I hope the Hope Dream Smart Library will serve as a space of innovation and creativity where Hankkum School students can discover and develop their talents and aptitudes."


Korea Securities Finance Dream Sharing Foundation is a non-profit public interest corporation established in November 2013 with contributions from Korea Securities Finance. The foundation has been continuously engaged in social contribution activities in various fields, including social welfare and scholarship programs.


The foundation's flagship 'Hope Dream' initiative supports North Korean defectors and young people preparing for self-reliance, helping them achieve social and economic independence as key members of society. In addition to education, the foundation plans to continue serving as a safety net of hope for society by providing practical support in areas such as housing, employment and entrepreneurship, healthcare, and emotional and cultural needs.
