The First Step Is Clearing Out Pro-Yoon Factions"
The Reform New Party commented on the re-arrest of former President Yoon Suk-yeol on the 10th, stating, "It is now time to decisively bring an end to the 'Yoon Suk-yeol era' in the political sphere," and added, "The first step is to clear out pro-Yoon factions."

Lee Donghun, chief spokesperson of the Reform New Party, said in a statement on this day, "Former President Yoon has been detained again," and added, "He will not be able to return to society for the time being." He continued, "The harm he left behind remains as scars throughout the lives of the people," and stated, "We hope he will spend the rest of his life reflecting on himself before the people and history."
Chief spokesperson Lee pointed out, "Although former President Yoon has been isolated, there are still remnants within the People Power Party who are trying to maintain their political survival under the name of 'pro-Yoon'," and added, "We do not call these people 'conservatives.'"
He went on to say, "Conservatism is a political philosophy that values responsibility to the nation and the importance of order," and criticized, "The pro-Yoon faction consists only of political opportunists obsessed with private interests."
He further stated, "The behavior of lingering around power without taking responsibility after ruining state affairs is reminiscent of Yoon Suk-yeol," and added, "If the People Power Party fails to clear out these remnants, it will lose its reason for existence as a political party. Its future will also disappear."
Chief spokesperson Lee emphasized, "The detention of Yoon Suk-yeol is not the end, but the beginning," and declared, "The Reform New Party will steadfastly walk the path of true conservatism and genuine reform."
Earlier, Nam Sejin, chief judge in charge of warrants at the Seoul Central District Court, issued a detention warrant for former President Yoon on this day at the request of the special investigation team for insurrection, on charges including abuse of power and obstruction of the exercise of rights.
