July 10 to 16:
"Dunnae Youth Culture Center 'Speak Up, Teenagers' Summer Program" Recruitment
On July 10, Hoengseong County in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Kim Myunggi) announced that the Dunnae Youth Culture Center (Director Kim Hongseok) will be recruiting local youth to participate in its summer vacation program, "Speak Up, Teenagers, Dunnae Youth Culture Center," which will run from July 21 to August 16 to coincide with the summer break. The application period is from July 10 to July 16.
This program is designed to help students relieve academic stress through play and relaxation, and to provide a healing time to refresh both body and mind during the hot summer months.
The summer vacation program consists of a total of 17 subjects, including: Game Program Creation Lab, Digital Goods Making, Soul Food Micro Trip, K-Futsal, New Sports (Big Volleyball), Summer Beverage Blending, Handmade Scented Grape Soap, Handmade Nail Tip Design, Hair Coloring, and the Refreshing Summer Hipple Water Planet Experience, among other hands-on activities.
In particular, the "Hipple Water Planet Cultural Experience (Water Play Experience)" will be operated in conjunction with the After-School Academy and is expected to provide a valuable opportunity for youth in rural areas, where recreational facilities are lacking, to cool off and regain their energy during the summer heat.
Director Kim Hongseok stated, "This summer vacation program goes beyond simple experiences and will be a time for youth to enjoy themselves, communicate, and recover emotionally. We hope for the active interest and participation of many young people."
Any youth residing in Hoengseong County is eligible to participate. Applications can be submitted in person at the Dunnae Youth Culture Center office or by phone. For more details, please refer to the Hoengseong County website.
