"Providing Comprehensive Solutions Through Extensive Field Experience"
On July 10, law firm Taepyeongyang announced that it has appointed former Correctional Bureau Chief of the Ministry of Justice, Shin Yonghae, as an advisor.
Advisor Shin entered public service through the 39th Administrative Examination and accumulated extensive field experience by serving as the warden of Seoul Detention Center, Seoul Eastern Detention Center, Seoul Southern Detention Center, and Anyang Correctional Institution, among other key positions. He is also recognized for his expertise in correctional policy, having held major planning roles such as Director of Correctional Planning and Head of Security Policy at the Ministry of Justice.
Advisor Shin served as the 10th Chief of the Correctional Bureau at the Ministry of Justice from September 2022 until May of this year, making him the longest-serving Correctional Bureau Chief to date. During his tenure, he was known for his deep commitment to criminal and correctional policy, even earning a doctoral degree from Seoul National University School of Law while in office.
Advisor Shin is expected to provide consulting services for Taepyeongyang’s criminal law group, including corporate criminal cases, compliance, and responses to government and the National Assembly.
