Daeam Church delivered 30 home fans to the Administrative Welfare Center in Hyodeok-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju, for vulnerable groups in the local community. Provided by the Nam-gu Community Security Council in Gwangju
The Administrative Welfare Center in Hyodeok-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju, announced on July 9 that it recently received 30 home fans from Daeam Church for vulnerable groups in the local community.
This donation of fans was organized to help 30 households, including elderly people living alone and people with disabilities who are particularly vulnerable to heat waves, so that they can spend the summer in good health and safety amid the ongoing extreme heat.
Daeam Church has continued its sharing activities, such as donating blankets to low-income households in the local community last winter, and is setting a positive example in the region. The donated items will be delivered sequentially to vulnerable groups through the Hyodeok-dong Administrative Welfare Center.
Senior Pastor Kim Kyunghoon stated, "Although it is a small gesture, we prepared it with the hope that it will help our neighbors who have to endure the hot summer," and added, "We will continue to be a warm church that works together with the local community."
Yang Misuk, head of Hyodeok-dong, said, "The warmth of last winter has returned as cool breezes this summer," and added, "We will make sure these precious donations are delivered so that those in need can spend the summer without worrying about the heat."
