According to the city on July 9, the 'Safe Housing Contract Consultation Desk' is open every Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the civil service office in City Hall. Professional licensed real estate agents appointed by the city help all citizens planning to enter into lease contracts to ensure safe agreements.
The consultation provides guidance on several key areas: essential checks such as reviewing official real estate records and verifying the priority of existing rights before signing a lease contract; providing actual market price information; points to review when drafting the contract; and the necessity of enrolling in a jeonse deposit return guarantee.
Previously, the city established and has been operating the 'Safe Housing Contract Consultation Desk' since October last year to prevent lease contract fraud. As of last month, the desk had provided assistance in 35 cases of lease consultations for both jeonse and monthly rental contracts.
Jung Yonguk, Director of Urban Planning, said, "We hope that citizens who lack experience with real estate contracts will actively utilize this system so that potential damages arising from lease contracts can be prevented in advance."
