Since the beginning of this year, Haman County has conducted internal surveys and on-site inspections of towns and villages to identify suitable candidates for the project. As a result, Sindung Village was selected as the target location, and the county began drafting a preliminary plan. After passing Gyeongsangnam-do’s internal evaluation on April 9, the plan was revised and supplemented, and the final preliminary plan was submitted on April 15. On June 19, the Regional Era Committee conducted an in-person evaluation.

Residents of Sindung Village formed a steering committee and, led by the committee chairperson, actively discussed the current situation and necessary projects for the village. Through close cooperation with Haman County, they established a project plan and ultimately achieved the significant accomplishment of being selected for the project.

With this selection, Haman County plans to invest approximately 2.4 billion KRW (1.6 billion KRW from the national government, 200 million KRW from the provincial government, 500 million KRW from the county, and 100 million KRW in self-funding) in Sindung Village over four years from 2026 to 2029.
