A Fresh Start as an Affiliate of Woongjin Group
FreedLife announced on July 9 that it changed its company name to "Woongjin FreedLife" on July 4 and is making a fresh start as an affiliate of Woongjin Group.
This name change marks FreedLife's first step since its official incorporation into Woongjin Group last month. The company explained that this move reflects its commitment to providing customers with greater trust and higher service quality by leveraging the group’s brand assets and synergy.

The newly launched Woongjin FreedLife plans to accelerate its growth as a "total life care platform" company. It will combine FreedLife's accumulated expertise in funeral services, weddings, cruises, and senior care?offering customized life-stage services?with Woongjin Group’s nationwide sales network, membership system, education and content, and IT capabilities to comprehensively care for customers throughout their lives.
A new corporate identity (CI) was also unveiled alongside the name change.
Kim Manki, CEO of Woongjin FreedLife, stated, "Woongjin FreedLife aims to expand its horizons as a total life care brand encompassing all aspects of customers’ lives by combining Woongjin Group’s warm, customer-centered philosophy with FreedLife’s service expertise. Under our new name, we will accompany our customers through life with even better services."
