Contributing to the Activation of Community-Based Integrated Health Promotion
Jeonnam Gurye County announced on July 9 that it recently received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award in the "2025 17th Local Government Health Promotion Project Strategy Division (Performance Improvement)" hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The "Health Promotion Project Meritorious Award" is given by the Ministry of Health and Welfare to organizations or groups that have contributed to promoting public health and activating community-based integrated health promotion projects.

Gurye County has actively implemented integrated health promotion projects, including physical activity and obesity prevention programs, as well as educational tours to senior centers. The county has also carried out a variety of initiatives to improve residents' health, such as the Nutrition Plus Project and everyday walking programs.
Kim Soonho, the county governor, stated, "We will continue to support various educational and collaborative projects to further improve residents' health levels and enhance the quality of health and welfare services."
