Provided by the Public Officials Union.

Prior to the inauguration ceremony, Kim Hyunjin, Chairman of the Public Officials Union, held a meeting with Lim Jongsik, Superintendent of Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education, and requested substantial improvements in working conditions, including the appropriate recruitment of additional staff for school administrative offices and the introduction of a new leave system for new employees.

Chairman Kim emphasized, "Administrative offices have operated without a legal basis for their establishment, relying instead on ordinances, customs, and interpretations, resulting in their existence as ad hoc organizations with unclear authority and responsibility. Despite being a core organization that performs essential roles in school operations such as contracts, budgeting and accounting, and facility management, they should not be subject to unreasonable discrimination or scapegoating simply because they are a minority."

Chairman Kim also stated, "The lack of a legal basis for administrative offices is the root cause of structural discrimination," and added, "The Public Officials Union will work to ensure that authority and responsibility are clearly defined through the legislative institutionalization of administrative offices at the National Assembly level."

Meanwhile, to commemorate the inauguration ceremony, the Public Officials Union provided free coffee at the Edu Cafe within the Office of Education from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to support Gyeongbuk Office of Education staff working in the hot weather.

The Public Officials Union also announced that it plans to work closely in solidarity with Sim Dongseop, the 9th chairman of the Gyeongbuk Office of Education Union, and seek solutions so that members of the Office of Education can work in a better environment.
