Visits to Lotte, Shinsegae, Hyundai, and Galleria Department Stores
Frederic Arnault, CEO of Loro Piana and the third son of Bernard Arnault, chairman of LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy) Group, has reportedly met with key representatives of major Korean department stores.
According to the department store industry on July 8, CEO Frederic Arnault met with Jung Junho, CEO of Lotte Department Store, the previous day, accompanied by LVMH Group executives and staff. Frederic Arnault visited Lotte Department Store's Avenuel Jamsil branch and main branch in Seoul, where he toured Loro Piana boutiques as well as luxury stores belonging to the LVMH Group.
On the same day, he was also reported to have met sequentially with Kim Younghoon, CEO of Hanwha Galleria, Park Joohyung, CEO of Shinsegae, and Jung Jiyeong, CEO of Hyundai Department Store. Frederic Arnault visited Galleria Luxury Hall, Shinsegae Department Store's Gangnam and main branches, and Hyundai Department Store's Apgujeong main branch to inspect the stores.
Frederic Arnault became CEO of Loro Piana in March of this year, after previously serving as head of the Tag Heuer brand and as CEO overseeing LVMH's watch division. Loro Piana is an Italian luxury cashmere brand that became part of the LVMH Group in 2013.
Meanwhile, some speculate that Frederic Arnault's meetings may be related to the Blackpink concert held in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on July 5 and 6. Although the relationship has not been officially acknowledged, Frederic Arnault is known to be in a romantic relationship with Lisa, a member of Blackpink.
