Ministry of Trade and KOTRA Hold "Customs Response Export Voucher Plaza"

Held at Coex Magok Le West Hall on July 9

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced on July 9 that they held the "2025 Customs Response Export Voucher Plaza" at the Coex Magok Le West Hall in Magok-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul.

This event was held for the second time this year, following the first half of the year. On site, a seminar for companies selected as participants in this year's Export Voucher Program by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy was held, offering tailored strategies for utilizing the program. For the first time, KOTRA and Google collaborated at this seminar. During the presentation on "Digital Marketing Strategies Using Google," effective branding and export marketing strategies for Korean exporters were introduced. In addition, there were interactive company experience zones, an integrated export consulting center, and a voucher matching consultation meeting.

In particular, the company experience zone at this event was very popular. The experience zone featured the "Customs Response 119" booth, which provided free consulting on customs-related challenges, and the "Alternative Market Entry Road," where visitors could explore information necessary for entering alternative markets. The Alternative Market Entry Road is a program in which, when a participating company requests alternative market recommendations, a promising market recommendation bot suggests markets and provides information on overseas certifications and exhibitions required for entry into those markets, all in one place.

Additionally, a "U.S. Tariff Opportunities and Challenges On-site Meeting" was held for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies experiencing difficulties due to changes in the external trade environment or seeking new opportunities. The meeting was chaired by KOTRA President Kang Kyungseong. At the meeting, the concerns of companies in the steel and aluminum, auto parts, electrical and electronics, and consumer goods sectors?those most affected by U.S. tariff policies?were heard directly, and practical support measures were discussed based on these inputs.

Going forward, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and KOTRA plan to recruit additional participants for the second supplementary Customs Response Voucher Program, depending on the outcome of U.S. tariff negotiations, in order to provide broad support to SMEs and mid-sized companies facing customs-related difficulties and to respond swiftly to export challenges.

KOTRA President Kang Kyungseong stated, "The volatility of the export environment is increasing due to U.S. tariff policies and changes in the situation in the Middle East," and added, "KOTRA will do its utmost to ensure that the Export Voucher Program provides practical help to exporting companies."
