On July 8, the Social Affairs Division 1 of the National Policy Planning Committee announced that it held a meeting at the National Assembly with ruling party lawmakers from the Gender Equality and Family Committee to discuss the establishment of national policy tasks.

According to the committee, the meeting was attended by Kim Hankyu, a Democratic Party lawmaker and ruling party secretary of the Gender Equality and Family Committee, Lee Chanjin, head of Social Affairs Division 1, and Kim Namhee, a division member, among others.
During the meeting, participants shared the progress of their review process to reflect policy pledges in the areas of women, families, and youth in the national policy agenda, and discussed detailed measures to implement the relevant pledges.
The Social Affairs Division 1 listened to the opinions of the Gender Equality and Family Committee on major tasks needed to strengthen gender equality governance and create workplaces free from discrimination against women, support single-parent families, establish a trustworthy childcare system, and promote self-directed growth among youth.
