Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pilho) announced on July 8 that it is launching a citizen participation campaign called 'Hope Savers' to promote a culture of disaster safety awareness.
'Hope Savers' is a practical campaign designed to help individuals respond to various climate disasters, such as heat waves, wildfires, and floods, which have become more frequent and severe due to the climate crisis. This campaign, which anyone can join via social networking services (SNS), is carried out by completing disaster prevention and response missions in daily life.
The slogan of the Hope Savers campaign is "One Hope Saver protects the safety of 100 people!" This slogan conveys the message that small actions can protect the safety of many people.
For July, the campaign mission focuses on 'heat wave prevention and response,' with the theme of 'Lowering the Earth's temperature by 1°C.' Participants can take photos or videos of their personal actions to prevent heat waves and share them on their personal SNS accounts.
Each month, 60 outstanding participants will receive a goods set consisting of a '365 Days Safety Calendar' and a 'Hope Savers Keyring.' More detailed information about the campaign and how to participate can be found on the official Hope Bridge website.
Shin Hoon, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, stated, "Due to the climate crisis, the scale of disasters is growing, and the actions of each individual are more important than ever in protecting the safety of our neighbors. I hope that many citizens will become Hope Savers and work together to create a safer tomorrow."
