For this competition, the county has proactively identified villages with poor residential environments and inadequate safety since last year. By collaborating with the Village Making Support Center, they have enhanced their competitiveness for the project. As a result, Gongsu Village in Gabuk-myeon has been newly selected as a project site.
Meanwhile, Geochang County has previously had several villages selected for this project, including Dongchon Village in Gabuk-myeon, Sanyang Village in Goje-myeon, Soya Village in Sinwon-myeon, Gacheon Village in Namha-myeon, Imbul Village in Namsang-myeon, Byeonghang Village in Mari-myeon, Aju Village in Namha-myeon, Nambul Village in Namsang-myeon, and Giri District in Gajo-myeon.
Gu Inmo, Governor of Geochang County, stated, "The selection of this project is the result of the active participation of Gongsu Village residents," and added, "We will continue to actively support villages with a commitment to creating safe and livable communities so that they can be selected for future projects."
